Welcome Benjamin “Buffel” Nattrass

Okay, so finally today, Ronel and Benjamin came home. It was quite a day filled with plenty of excitement and emotions as we ventured into the unknown. Both Ronel and myself feel we have a daunting task ahead, but a task we were made for and we know that all will be okay. The hospital is quite a place, you end up being lost in your own little world, oblivious to the real world conditions. It was our home away from home for 4 days and 3 nights as I tried to spend as much time next to my son and wife. A huge thanks to the staff at Stellenbosch Medi Clinic for the continued support and friendliness throughout our visit, we are all sad to say good bye.

Benjamin came home and immediately took a liking to our “palace”. Away from the city, in the vineyards – I could just see excitement over his face (maybe just the poop he let out on the way home). Anyway, we are home and we cannot thank the friends and family enough for the amazing support they have given us over the last 9 months. We treasure you all and we cannot wait to show Benjamin “Buffel” to you all. Thank you to all the hand me downs, it is truly a great support system that we will surely pass on to others.

I have tried to capture some moments, one cannot catch them all but here are a few images I thought that you would all enjoy seeing. I hope they do not offend anyone..!
