Tokkie and Elaine have been friends of Ronel and myself for quite some time. I still remember contacting them soon after their engagement asking them if I could possibly do an engagement shoot for them to practise my new found hoppy of photography. Armed with my Canon 350D I went out and did a shoot for them. After that shoot they vowed to use me for their wedding.
2 years later and their wedding was 2 weeks away, I was excited. I then decided to go and get in the way of a Metro Rail train, long story short I was unable to take the photo’s at their wedding. Thanks to an awesome friend and colleague, Hendrik Steytler (from Pixelate Productions and Hendrik Steytler Photography) I was now the official “assistant” on the day.. broken ribs and neck brace..
Hendrik did an amazing job and I thank him for what he did and his willingness to help, even though he was contracted to photograph a well known cycling team at the Wines to Whales that weekend..
The wedding was great and the venue, The Breede Escape wedding venue was stunning. I can also highly recommend the Bordeaux River Cottages for anyone wanting a weekend away in the Breede Valley in Bonnievale.
Well done Tokkie & Elaine, it was great fun and the couple shoot was awesome – even though we got a little chilly near the end.
