Being a Stock Photographer for some 8 years now, I always see a major drive towards “models” and we always try and photograph in the perfect environment. I have decided that part of my portfolio for 2018 will be to showcase the real South Africa and capture images of real people in their real environments.
My first challenge was to capture some black people training in their own environment. I chose Kayamandi near Stellenbosch and off I went late one afternoon to capture two energetic people doing what they enjoy – keeping fit. It is a subject I am fairly comfortable with so I thought it would make things easier.
I am really happy with the result and will definitely be focusing more energy on good local content, a huge thanks to some of the locals for their support.
